I have reviewed one wine from Revi: the 2019 Revi ‘Dosaggio Zero’ Trentodoc Zero Dosage (91 points).
Revi is a family-run boutique winery in Aldeno, in the heart of the Trentodoc appellation, working exclusively with Metodo Classico sparkling wine. Its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grow at 500 to 700 metres under the influence of the Dolomites, where the cool alpine climate preserves the sharp acidity and aromatic intensity needed for long ageing on the lees. The style is crisp, precise and mineral, and the “Cavaliere Nero” Rosé is particularly celebrated.
The Dosaggio Zero reflects the estate’s philosophy of letting the grapes speak without added sugar. The 2019 has a fine, persistent mousse with green apple, lemon, lime and white flowers over brioche, crushed stone and almond, and laser-sharp acidity carrying citrus, pear and a touch of salt. Dry and precise from start to finish, it is a sophisticated alternative to Champagne and a fine example of Trentino’s alpine freshness.
