Fattoria La Pace is a boutique Tuscan estate focused on international varieties grown with organic and biodynamic principles. The winery is a social project as much as an agricultural one, often employing disadvantaged young people to work the land. Its mineral-rich terroir gives its Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot blends a savory edge, and wines such as “Silvano” and “Tessaia” are lush and Mediterranean while keeping fresh acidity.
“Pittoresco” is a powerful Super Tuscan blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The 2018 lives up to its name with a rich, attractive nose of blackberry, plum, dark cherry, cedar and sweet spice over soft earthy and herbal notes, a velvety texture with well-balanced tannins, and a finish of tobacco and mocha.
